Flying Bark’s animated television series, Tales from Outer Suburbia, will debut internationally at the Annecy Animated Film Festival in France.

The 10×22’ series is an adaptation of Australian writer and creative Shaun Tan’s bestselling children’s illustrated anthology of the same name, which has been translated in 28 global markets.

The series which is currently in production is being directed by Noel Cleary and is produced by Tan, Sophie Byrne and Flying Bark’s EP Barbara Stephen and producer Alexia Gates-Foale.

Episode three of Tales from Outer Suburbia ‘Distant Rain’ will screen at the Annecy Animated Film Festival from June 8 – 14. The series, which has been commissioned by Australia’s ABC will screen later this year in Australia and co-commissioner BYUtv in the USA.
